Start with the question your dashboard did not answer.

These examples show the analysis workflow, not prewritten answers or invented benchmark data.

Why did signups fall on Tuesday?

Metric-change investigation

Compare the affected period, test the strongest breakdowns and surface the measured driver or association most closely linked to the drop.

Period, metric and breakdown evidence

Which landing pages bring qualified visits?

Acquisition quality

Rank entry pages by the engagement or conversion outcome you choose, then separate traffic volume from traffic quality.

Landing page, source and outcome

Which important interactions stopped arriving?

Tracking-gap diagnosis

Inspect the available event context and surface important interactions that are missing, stale or no longer represented as expected.

Observed events and tracking gaps

What should go on the weekly leadership dashboard?

Dashboard recommendation

Match the decision audience to governed metrics and recommend a layout that can be reviewed and saved.

How an answer is built

Question, query, evidence.

STEP 01

Set the property context

The question is scoped to the property and data the signed-in user is allowed to access.

STEP 02

Use governed analytics tools

The engine selects metrics, time series, breakdowns, comparisons or anomaly checks rather than guessing a number from prose.

STEP 03

Return an answer you can inspect

The result carries the relevant figures and chart context, with a next question or dashboard recommendation when useful.

The competitive reality

GA4 has an AI advisor now. The difference is the workflow.

Both products can answer questions about analytics data, but datataste offers the stronger overall path from first-party measurement to explanation, tracking diagnosis and a working dashboard.

GOOGLE ANALYTICS 4

Ask Advisor beta

Google's Ask Advisor beta answers data and why questions, creates visualizations, reads property configuration and suggests next steps. It currently requires an eligible property with English selected, and Google says chat activity may be used to improve the product.

datataste

AI as the analysis-to-dashboard workflow

The datataste AI Engine works on datataste's first-party measurement, explains metric changes, detects tracking gaps and can turn recommendations into dashboard layouts. Choose it when AI should be the primary route into analytics, not an extra surface beside the reports.

AI analytics questions

What the AI does—and does not do.

What can I ask the datataste AI Engine?

You can ask for KPI summaries, time series, breakdowns, period comparisons, anomaly checks, metric-change explanations, tracking gaps and dashboard recommendations within a selected property.

How are answers grounded in real data?

The engine calls governed analytics tools and the semantic layer to retrieve figures and chart context. It does not need to invent metrics from a pasted screenshot or an unstructured CSV.

Does customer analytics data train the AI model?

Customer traffic is not used to train the models used for analysis. Data and AI processing are hosted on EU infrastructure.

How is this different from GA4 Ask Advisor?

datataste has the stronger overall AI workflow: first-party measurement, automatic event mapping, EU-hosted AI processing and the route from investigation to a recommended dashboard layout work together. GA4's Ask Advisor remains a narrower beta inside the Google stack.
